396 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Education and Science the steps, if any, he is taking to place a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in full-time education; the reason he has been out of school for the past three years; the steps, if any, taken during those three years to provide proper education; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The case raised by the Deputy has not previously been brought to my Department's attention.

I have asked my Department's inspectorate to investigate this case as a matter of urgency with a view to ensuring that suitable educational provision is made available to the child as soon as possible.
