48 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Finance the number of quotations received from Irish companies in regard to the purchase of Defence Forces clothing during the past two years; the number of these which were successful; the number of quotations received from overseas companies; the number of these which were successful; the cost of each successful quotation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Due to the number of tender competitions which have been held in the past two years, it has not been possible to compile the information sought by the Deputy in the time available. As soon as the information is to hand, I will communicate directly with the Deputy in the matter. The staff of the Government supplies agency will also be available to provide any further clarification the Deputy may require.
