Vol. 512 No. 7

Written Answers. - Consultant Appointments.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

152 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children the proposals, if any, he has for the appointment of a neurologist, endocrinologist and diabetologist to Waterford Regional Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27193/99]

The provision of services at Waterford Regional Hospital is a matter for the South Eastern Health Board in the first instance. The board is currently developing its service plan for 2000 on the basis of funding notified to it in my Department's letter of determination. The development of services at Waterford Regional Hospital in 2000 is under consideration by the board in this context.
