Question:70 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will categorise by reason for committal those who have spent more than 20 years detained within the mental institutions; the number of patients who were detained for various reasons of addiction; if he will provide a breakdown in the specified nature of those addictions as per the application for the initial reception order; the number of those patients detained under (i) private and (ii) public patient reception orders; and the nature of the relationship of those patients to the person who applied for the initial reception order.
