Vol. 512 No. 8

Written Answers. - Arts Funding.

John Perry

Question:

100 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if her attention has been drawn to correspondence (details supplied) sent on 1 December 1999 on behalf of the Yeats Society, Sligo, seeking capital funding under the cultural development incentives scheme; the progress made; when a decision will be made and if she will make a statement on the matter. [27443/99]

Funding which had been available under the cultural development incentives scheme has now been fully allocated to 38 projects around the country.

I can confirm again that it is my intention to announce details of a new programme of capital funding for arts and culture projects early in the new year. Details of the new programme, including the relevant application form, criteria, etc., will be sent to representatives of the Yeats Society when the new programme is announced.
