Question:279 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a REP scheme application by a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has been accepted. [1504/00]
Written Answers. - Rural Environment Protection Scheme.
The person named submitted an application under the REP scheme in December 1998. My Department advised him in writing in February 1999 that his application could not be processed as the natural heritage area on his holding was not detailed exactly therein. He was invited to submit the exact area of the natural heritage area on his holding.
When no reply was received, my Department again wrote to the person named in April 1999 advising that new specifications had been introduced and for his plan to be acceptable it would require amendment to conform with the revised specifications. No reply was received to this correspondence.
