Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Noonan – the need to compensate householders in St. Mary's parish and Corbally in Limerick arising from the flooding on Christmas Eve last; (2) Deputy Durkan – the reduction in the rate of old age pension payable to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; (3) Deputy Perry – the need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to put a planned property programme in place for the six Border counties and in particular for the Sligo-Leitrim area; (4) Deputy McDowell – the application of Dublin Port Company for a foreshore licence to enable it to reclaim 22 hectares of Dublin Bay; (5) Deputy Hayes – the need for the urgent transfer from Beaumont Hospital to Tallaght Hospital of a person (details supplied) in County Dublin; (6) Deputy Gormley – the need for a remedial teacher for St. Brigid's primary school, Haddington Road, Dublin 4; (7) Deputy Neville – the need for proper accommodation at the primary school at Kilfinane, County Limerick; (8) Deputy Connaughton – the matter of planning permission being required by bog owners who wish to cut turf this season; (9) Deputy Gilmore – the reason approval for a travellers' halting site at Lower Dodder Road in Dublin was refused; (10) Deputy Upton – the urgent need for the Minister for Education and Science to create extra third level places to allow apprentices to complete their training within a reasonable timeframe; (11) Deputy Clune – the urgent need to increase the uptake of the childhood immunisation programme; (12) Deputy Wall – the leaking of the White Paper on Defence to a national newspaper; (13) Deputy Seán Ryan – the need for an independent authority empowered to maintain and enforce safety standards in all aspects of air transport, with particular reference to the further deregulation of self-handling and third party ground handling at Irish airports.

The matters raised by Deputies McDowell, Wall, Clune and Noonan have been selected for discussion.
