Written Answers. - Roads Funding.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

226 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the reason his Department's improvement and maintenance allocation to the local authorities in Dublin makes no mention of the Cork Street improvement plan. [2446/00]

The non-national road grant allocations for 2000, which I announced yesterday, 31 January, include an allocation of £8.74 million to Dublin Corporation in respect of Dublin traffic management schemes, of which £3.93 million has been allocated in respect of the Cork Street-Coombe scheme.
