245 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo was not provided with a full copy of his file details under the Freedom of Information Act, 1997, particularly as the information withheld is directly relevant to his benefit entitlement. [2293/00]
The person concerned made a request under the Freedom of Infor mation Act for all documents on his file. These were sent to him with the exception of material given in confidence and personal information about other persons which are not appropriate for disclosure under the provisions of the Act. The person was notified of his right under the Act to seek a formal review of the decision.
