Vol. 513 No. 3

Written Answers. - Registration of Title.

Michael Ring

Question:

281 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when persons (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive notification that their Land Registry Office dealing has been completed in view of the fact they were told the dealing was completed over three months ago. [2318/00]

I refer the Deputy to my previous answer to Parliamentary Question No. 139 on 13 October 1999.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this application refers to a transfer for sale which was lodged on 14 June 1999 and completed on 11 October 1999, not 12 October 1999 as previously stated. I am further informed by the Registrar of Titles that notice of completion issued to the applicants' solicitor on that date. I am also informed that the Land Registry issued a copy of this notice to the registered owners on 27 January 2000.

John Perry

Question:

282 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 786 of 29 September 1999, his attention has been drawn to the fact that no further developments have taken place on the application by persons (details supplied) in County Sligo; when it will be processed; the reason for the delay; if the Land Registry will immediately process the documentation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2435/00]

I refer the Deputy to my previous answer to Parliamentary Question No. 786 of 29 September 1999.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that a query issued to the applicants solicitor on 15 October 1999 and the Land Registry await a reply from the solicitor in question. As previously advised, the application cannot proceed until this query has been satisfactorily resolved. Accordingly, it is not possible at this time to estimate a completion date. However, I assure the Deputy that on receipt of a satisfactory response from the lodging solicitor involved, the matter will be completed by the Land Registry without delay.
