Vol. 513 No. 3

Written Answers. - Schools Amalgamation.

Michael Creed

Question:

302 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the parents at a school (details supplied) in County Cork have decided by plebiscite not to proceed with an amalgamation with three other schools; the plans, if any, his Department has to proceed with amalgamation of the remaining three schools; and, if so, if a site for a new school has been agreed and acquired. I regret that the information requested by the Deputy is not available at present because of an industrial dispute in my Department. I will arrange to have the information forwarded to the Deputy.
