Question:318 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 223 of 1 December 1999, he has reached a decision on the recognition of an English trained teacher (details supplied) for appointment to the vacant post of resource teacher at Mother of Divine Grace School, Dub lin 11, in view of the fact that this post, which is vacant for four months, is based on the needs of special needs children and if they were attending special schools their teachers would not require the Irish qualification; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
