Vol. 513 No. 4

Written Answers. - Flood Relief.

Charles Flanagan

Question:

128 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the methodology to be applied in the proposed scheme of compensation for farmers in west Offaly arising from damage caused in the recent flooding of the River Shannon; and when application forms will issue. [2771/00]

As indicated in my reply to Questions Nos. 252 and 257 on 26 January 2000, the general level of fodder stocks for winter feeding is satisfactory and accordingly the introduction of a special fodder compensation scheme at this stage would not be warranted.
