Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

48 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of people on the waiting list at Tralee General Hospital for consultation, surgical procedures, medical procedures and admittance; the longest period of time a person has been waiting on each of these lists; the anticipated waiting time; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2896/00]

The provision of hospital services in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the Southern Health Board. The information requested by the Deputy is not routinely collected by my Department. However, I have asked the chief executive officer of the Southern Health Board to reply to the Deputy directly on the matter.

Liam Aylward

Question:

49 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the delay in having an appointment for an MRI scan at Beaumont Hospital for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and when he will be called. [2897/00]

The provision of medical services in this instance is the responsibility of Beaumont Hospital. I have asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
