Vol. 513 No. 5

Written Answers. - Education Services.

Frances Fitzgerald

Question:

79 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Education and Science the action, if any, his Department will take to ensure that a person (details supplied) in Dublin 6 who has been suspended from school receives an education; the other services, if any, made available to his family in view of the situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2891/00]

I would be most anxious to ensure that all children, particularly those with special needs, should have full and ongoing access to suitable education services.

I have asked my Department's inspectorate to investigate and report on the matter raised by the Deputy. As soon as this report is received, I will respond further to the Deputy.
