Vol. 513 No. 6

Written Answers. - Environmental Regulations.

Deirdre Clune

Question:

329 Ms Clune asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if all standard regulations relating to environmental control will be available on CD-ROM; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3020/00]

There are no current proposals to produce a CD-ROM containing environmental control regulations relevant to the remit of the Minister for the Environment and Local Government.

Primary legislation from 1922 to 1998, and most statutory instruments, have been put on a CD-ROM [Irish Statute Book (1922-1998) Acts of the Oireachtas, Statutory Instruments – chronological tables. [Published August 1999] which is available via the Government Publications Office. I understand that it is intended to update the data from time to time.

Legislation (Directives and Regulations) of the European Union is available on the eur-lex site at http://europa.eu.int/eur-lex. In addition, it is understood that a number of commercial companies reproduce the relevant texts for sale on CD-ROM.
