122 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Education and Science if negotiations have concluded regarding the improvement of remuneration for care assistants in primary schools; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3336/00]

Negotiations with the relevant unions on the official side's proposals under clause 2 (iii) of the PCW for the grade in question are still on-going. Every effort will be made to conclude the negotiations as soon as possible.
