Question:

137 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if EU funding has been drawn down for the Drogheda Port expansion scheme; if so, the amount of this funding; if certain moneys have still to be drawn down; and, if so, when they will be drawn down. [3740/00]

The development scheme at Drogheda Port is being carried out at a total cost of £7,965,000 of which £7,515,000 is eligible for EU funding of 48% under the regional ports measure of the Operational Programme for Transport, 1994-99. To date a sum of £1,658,455 in EU aid has been paid to Drogheda Port Company and a sum of £1,948,745 remains to be drawn down in the coming months.
