143 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the companies, if any, which assisted in the flotation of Eircom; the way in which these companies were selected; their respective functions; the payments made to them; if she will supply a list of addresses for these companies; if she has satisfied herself that all of these companies are reputable; the way in which she established this; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 141 and 143 together.

The advisers which assisted in the flotation of Eircom, formerly Telecom Éireann, their respective functions and the payments made to each are set out in the table below.

I am satisfied that all the companies involved in the flotation of Eircom were reputable. All the companies possessed valid tax clearance certificates-statements of suitability. They were selected in accordance with Government and EU public procurement procedures.
