Vol. 514 No. 1

Written Answers. - Orthodontic Service.

Proinsias De Rossa

Question:

174 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Health and Children his views on whether it is acceptable that a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 has had to wait four years for orthodontic treatment; when this treatment will start; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3686/00]

As the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in Dublin 12 is the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Health Board, I have asked the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
