81 Mr. Callely asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the progress, if any, being made to address difficulties being experienced by non-nationals in availing of work permits; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3364/00]

I am not aware of any particular difficulties being experienced in relation to applications for work permits to employ non-nationals at present apart from the significant increase in the number of such applications, which may be giving rise to some unavoidable delays.
