Vol. 514 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Inquiry.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

149 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the length of time an inquiry (details supplied) is likely to take; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4550/00]

I recently announced the establishment of an inquiry into all issues relating to post-mortem examinations, organ removal, organ retention and organ disposal at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin. The process of establishing the inquiry is under way. I would expect that the inquiry will report to me within six months of it's formal establishment.
