Question:188 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Education and Science if a resource teacher has been appointed to a school (details supplied) in County Mayo; and, if so, the number of hours per week sanctioned. [4446/00]

A full-time resource teacher post has been allocated on a shared basis between the school in question and three other schools in the area which are catering for children with special needs. The amount of time which the resource teacher devotes to each school is determined on an ongoing basis by the needs of the individual children involved.
