Vol. 515 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jim Higgins

Question:

126 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has been turned down for a special beef premium in view of the fact that he has sold his milk quota. [5567/00]

The person named submitted three special beef premium applications in 1999. Two of these applications have been processed for payment. Payment will be made following receipt of confirmation from the creamery regarding the applicant's milk quota position, and subject to the applicant's stocking density limit.

Payment in respect of the third application will issue when the two month retention period expires, subject to compliance with the scheme requirements, receipt of the required milk quota information and the applicant's stocking density limit.
