Written Answers. - Light Rail Project.
Preliminary physical work began on the Tallaght to Abbey Street light rail line in September 1999. Since then, CIE have sought tenders for various contracts related to the construction of the line. It expects that all major contracts will have been awarded by August.
Construction work is due to be completed by the end of 2002 with services commencing in spring 2003.
