Vol. 515 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

57 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Health and Children the overall increase in the number of step-down beds in the hospital service during 1999; the reason for the small number of these beds in view of the need for this service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5511/00]

My Department is at present verifying the current number of step-down beds and I will revert to the Deputy as soon as the information is collated from the health boards.
