144 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will ensure that the funding support from his Department through Bord Glas towards the Enniscorthy strawberry fair will be maintained in view of the opportunity it provides soft fruit growing in the area and the past success of this sponsorship; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department provides annual funding to Bord Glas to enable it to carry out its statutory functions in developing, promoting, facilitating, encouraging, co-ordinating and assisting the production, marketing and consumption of horticultural produce. The allocation of these funds is a matter for decision by Bord Glas.
