221 Mr. J. McGuinness asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the reason for the delay in contacting a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny with the result of a public inquiry regarding objections to compulsory purchase order No. 1 of 1998 submitted by Kilkenny County Council; if, further to parliamentary Question No. 300 of 15 June 1999, he will outline the date the inspector made his report available; if the person is entitled to a copy of that report; the other appeal procedure available in the event of him not being satisfied by the report and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Kilkenny County Council compulsory purchase order No. 1 of 1998 was confirmed, subject to modification on 13 December 1999, by me having regard to the objections made and to the inspector's report of the public local inquiry. The administration of the order is a matter for the local authority. As soon as may be after confirmation of a CPO the local authority must publish notice of the confirmation and serve a notice on every person having an interest in the land who, having given notice to the Minister of his objection to the order, appeared at the public local inquiry in support of his objection. Any person aggrieved by the order may, within three weeks of this publication, challenge the CPO by an application to the High Court. A copy of the inspector's report will be made available to the person referred to on request.
