Jim Higgins

Question:

77 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not been paid 1999 headage. [6337/00]

The person named applied on 11 beef cows and 27 other animals under the 1999 cattle headage scheme. Following initial processing of his 1999 area aid application an area of 23.68 hectares was determined and based on this area he was paid £1,405.17 under the 1999 cattle headage scheme on 9 November 1999.

Subsequently an area of 28.48 hectares was accepted. This means that the person named is entitled to a supplementary payment of £145.83. This payment will issue to him within the next three weeks.
