63 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the lump sum and pension entitlement of a person (details supplied) who resigned from his Department on 23 November and was later convicted of a serious offence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7225/00]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh):

Pension and lump sum entitlements in this case have not been finalised. They will be based on the revision of the superannuation code for established civil ser vants who are dismissed or who resign to pre-empt dismissal.
