96 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the funding allocated to a project (details supplied) in County Mayo in each of the years from 1996 to date; the way in which the money was spent; if all the money was spent in each year of allocation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Funding of £48,750 was provided by my Department between 1996 and 1999 for works at the location in question which cost £65,000. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that I have recently approved the provision of further funding of up to £394,500 for repairs to concrete beams and upgrading of the timber fender system at the pier there.
