102 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a decision on payment will be made in respect of an early farm retirement scheme application for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [7308/00]
The spouse of the person named applied for an early retirement pension on 12 August 1999. Due to the large volume of applications on hands, together with other priority work, it was not possible to examine the application until 5 November 1999. On examination, the documentation submitted with the application was found to be defective in several respects and it was returned to the applicant.
The application was resubmitted on 16 February 2000. My Department is now examining the matter and will communicate with the applicant shortly.
