Vol. 516 No. 4

Written Answers. - Registration of Title.

Noel Ahern

Question:

107 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the situation with an apartment block (details supplied) in Dublin 11 in view of the fact the builder is telling purchasers they cannot move in due to delays with land registration; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8419/00]

I am informed by the registrar of titles that this application refers to a first registration which was lodged on 16 November 1999 and completed on 29 February 2000. The new folio numbers are DN131528F and DN91521L.

Jim Higgins

Question:

108 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of applications for registration pending in the Land Registry in respect of each county. [8445/00]

I am informed by the registrar of titles that the number of applications for registration pending in the land registry is not recorded in a way which could easily facilitate a breakdown of statistics as requested by the Deputy without a disproportionate use of time and resources.

However, I can let the Deputy have the statistics available for each of the Land Registry's seven geographical regions. They are set out in the following tabular statement:
