Vol. 516 No. 6

Written Answers. - School Placement.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

371 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education and Science the proposals, if any, he has to provide a place in education for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8754/00]

The child referred to by the Deputy is currently enrolled in St. Joseph's special school, Waterford, which caters for pupils with mild general learning disability. The most recent psychological assessment available on the child indicates that he is suitably placed in that school. I understand that he is making satisfactory progress there.
