163 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Finance the position on the cost benefit analysis for the River Nanny, Tuam, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9969/00]

The Office of Public Works has commissioned consultants to undertake an economic assessment of the drainage scheme proposals for the Nanny River, Tuam, County Galway. It is envisaged that studies required for the cost benefit analysis will be completed by the end of May 2000.
