Vol. 517 No. 3

Written Answers. - Harbours and Piers.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

87 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the plans, if any, he has to provide public lighting at Curransport pier, County Donegal. [9615/00]

The pier at Curransport, County Donegal, is owned by Donegal County Council and its repair and maintenance is the responsibility of the local authority in the first instance. I understand Donegal County Council has submitted an application to the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands for funding for works at this pier and that the provision of public lighting is being considered as part of this project.
