Vol. 517 No. 5

Written Answers. - DART Service.

Nora Owen

Question:

78 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the steps, if any, she is taking to ensure the extension of the DART service to Greystones and Malahide will be available to commuters; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10357/00]

The introduction of the DART services to Greystones has been delayed due to industrial relations issues.

Iarnród Éireann have advised me that they plan to carry out final testing on the Greystones section of the line this week and to commence the new services on Monday, 10 April. The company also expect the service from Malahide to begin by mid-summer, 2000.
