Vol. 517 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Question:

86 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1999 sheep and cattle headage. [10277/00]

The person named has recently furnished the outstanding proof of commonage to the area aid unit and her area aid application has now been processed. The person named claimed a total of 79.14 hectares on her 1999 area aid application. An area of 79.04 hectares has been determined. This represents a difference of 0.10 hectares or 0.13% between the area claimed and that determined.

Under Article 9 of EU Regulation 3887/92, no penalty is applied when the difference is less than 3%. Therefore in this case no penalty is applied, leaving the area for payment purposes at 79.04 hectares. Any payments due will issue as soon as possible.
