151 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the sections of the Department which restrict the time available to take calls from the public; the length of time this has been ongoing; the nature of the restrictions; the proposals, if any, she has to remedy this; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Public Enterprise (Mrs. O'Rourke):

This Department has no policy on restricting phone access from the public. The Department's policy under the customer service action plan is to respond to 90% of all calls within five rings.
