Vol. 518 No. 1

Written Answers. - Driving Tests.

Austin Deasy

Question:

147 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when a driver testing facility will be made available on a full-time basis in Dungarvan, County Waterford, in view of the fact that new premises are available and there is a six month waiting list in the town. [11232/00]

The level of driving test applications to the Dungarvan test centre, while increasing, is still not such as to require the assignment of a full time driver tester. The present level of service at Dungarvan test centre is in line with the national average. It is my Department's stated customer service objective to improve significantly on this level of service within the current year.
