Vol. 518 No. 2

Written Answers. - Ophthalmic Service.

John Perry

Question:

86 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be called immediately for an eye examination in view of the fact she is studying for school examinations and needs spectacles; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11277/00]

As it is the statutory responsibility of the North- Western Health Board to provide ophthalmic services for eligible persons in County Sligo, I have asked the chief executive officer of that board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
