234 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if a qualified person is employed in the Department to develop information communication technology systems for use in the Department, on an inter-Department basis and outwards to conduct business with the general public and public representatives. My Department's IT unit is responsible for all information technology systems for use in the Department, on an intra-departmental basis and outwards to conduct business with the general public and public representatives.

It is my policy to actively extend IT systems to more effectively service all possible areas of my Department's work.
