Vol. 518 No. 4

Written Answers. - Flood Relief.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

158 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Finance if Kildare County Council and South Dublin County Council have responded to the feasibility report in relation to flooding at Hazelhatch, Celbridge, County Kildare; when the report will be finalised; and the likely timeframe for completion of the environmental impact study and other surveys in relation to this flooding to enable work on alleviation measures to commence. [11911/00]

Neither Kildare, nor South Dublin County Councils have as yet responded to the feasibility report in relation to the flooding at Hazelhatch, Celbridge, County Kildare. Pending receipt of their observations on the report it is not possible to advance the proposals further in any meaningful way or to give any definitive indications as to the extent of the likely scheme works or the timescales necessary for completion of the environmental impact assessment or other surveys.
