Vol. 518 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

John McGuinness

Question:

170 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to unprecedented delay in dealing with cases in the casualty department of St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny; and if he will provide the funding necessary to deal with this issue as a matter of urgency. [11866/00]

The provision of medical services to eligible persons in County Kilkenny in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
