Ahern asked the Minister for Health and Children his views on the issue of candy cigarettes and the concerns of some parents who feel they condition children to the use and acceptability of cigarettes from an early age; if the importation of such products will be banned; and if he will consider the matter in view of the considerable resources spent by his Department in discouraging use of cigarettes.
