Vol. 518 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

248 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the serious overcrowding in Maynooth post-primary school, County Kildare; when his planning unit will complete its estimate of the long-term projected enrolments at the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11874/00]

I am aware that an application for additional accommodation at Maynooth post primary school has been submitted to my Department.

The planning unit of my Department is currently reviewing the long-term projected enrolments for this school. This matter will be processed as quickly as possible and, when completed, will enable decisions to be taken regarding the amount of additional accommodation to be provided.
