Written Answers. - Hospital Doctors.

Bernard Allen

Question:

143 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the proposals he has to recommence negotiations between the Irish Medical Organisation and the Health Services Employers Agency on a new non-consultant hospital doctors contract. [12305/00]

Officials of the Health Service Employers Agency have been in discussions with the Irish Medical Organisation for several months on a wide range of issues affecting the working conditions of non-consultant hospital doctors. It is intended that these discussions will continue and that a resolution to the issues concerned can be finalised soon.
