Vol. 518 No. 5

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Nora Owen

Question:

156 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Health and Children the action, if any, he will take concerning a person (details supplied); the reason his Department has not replied to letters sent from the Irish Patients Association about this matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12319/00]

The provision of medical services at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, is the statutory responsibility of the North Eastern Health Board in the first instance. I understand from the board that the case in question has been referred to the medical council which is independently reviewing the matter.
