The information requested by the Deputy is not available on a county by county basis. In the case of the Midland Health Board, data are available in relation to Counties Offaly and Laois as a single unit.

Expenditure on rent supplement in these counties was approximately £1.04 million in 1997, £1.18 million in 1998 and £1.24 million in 1999. Total expenditure on rent supplement in the Midland Health Board area was approximately £2.41 million in 1997, £2.7 million in 1998 and £3.15 million in 1999.
