Vol. 518 No. 5

Written Answers. - Probate Tax.

Question:

128 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider an appeal for remission of probate for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 in view of her circumstances. [12297/00]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that on the facts disclosed there would seem to be no entitlement to remission of the probate tax already paid in this case.

However, if the agent for the taxpayer wishes to contact customer services branch, capital taxes division, Dublin Castle, Dublin 2, telephone No. (01) 6748568, the case will be reviewed in the light of any additional information provided.
